Composer
A busy composer and arranger, with a substantial catalogue of Festival commissions both National and International, my out-put includes works for choir, orchestra, and keyboard; also, a goodly number of pieces for small ensemble, many of which were commissioned and first performed by Wales' premier chamber group, Ensemble Cymru. Whether it be for you, your ensemble, or your community project, please be in touch if you would like to discuss the possibility of a new composition or arrangement.

With considerable experience in orchestral and choral conducting - also, having directed some of the finest professional wind ensembles in the world, such as the Band of the Coldstream Guards, and the Band of the Welsh Guards - I am happy to direct any classical ensemble, whether large or small, professional or amateur. I am available as a 'stand-in', but will happily consider directing on a more regular basis, if requested. I am based in Reading, Berkshire, but will consider travelling further, if required.

I studied organ with Hugh Davies at St Asaph Cathedral, later being offered a scholarship at Bangor Cathedral. I have been a freelance liturgical musician since 1997. With a particular interest in the music of the Usus Antiquior, I greatly enjoy making my own arrangements of commonly used plainchants; also, composing polyphonic settings of Latin prayers. I am available to play for special occasions: weddings, and so forth. I am based in Reading, Berkshire, but will consider travelling further, if required.

I am also happy to deliver occasional sessions, such as pre-concert talks, or revision classes on G.C.S.E. and A' Level Music topics. I can provide 1-2-1 instruction or group tuition, as necessary.
